Sherry Rehman Resigned

Sherry Rehman has resigned, the main question now?

Sherry Rehman the former information minister resigned from her post just before the lawyer’s long march. The reason of her resignation was not very clear at the time, there were confusing reports from many all TV channels. It has since cleared up and the reason seems to be a combination of two things. One is that some of the ministers had been rude to her and the other was her stance oh the media. The media (especially GEO TV) in Pakistan has had to suffer because the government banned its transmission. She in protest resigned as a result. Her resignation is a big blow to the ruling party (PPP) and analysts are now suggesting this could be the beginning of the end of president Asif Ali Zardari. There are also suggestions that Makhdum Ameen Faheem may even replace President Zardari as the leader of the PPP in order to try and save the party. However one question that the media and others have failed to ask is the fact that Sherry Rehman’s husband Rehman Malik is still a government Minister, why has he not resigned, either it means that he has no values and thus should not be a minister in the first pace, or it means that Sherry Rehman is telling lies when she says she resigned because the media was banned and her resignation I in protest for the freedom of the media. This questions remains to be answered, only time will tell.
