Spike Lee and Roseanne Barr-mistake?
Some celebrities start to believe in their own hyped up careers and start acting above it all. We must start leading by example, not by stupidity.
George Zimmerman, the Neighborhood Watch captain who shot a seventeen year old in self defence, has not yet been arrested for any wrong during despite the usual agitators who you would expect to be in the front lines crying out for unfairness, the Reverends Al Sharpton, and Jessie Jackson. Al Sharpton made a name for himself when a scandal broke in the Tawana Brawley Incident where he supported the girl after accusing boys of raping her but it turned out to a hoax.
Although George Zimmerman has not been accused of a crime despite all efforts of hoodie wearers everywhere, and having a bounty on his head by the New Black Panthers, obviously remakes of the original Black Panthers of the Sixties, Spike Lee, film maker, and Basketball coach wannabe, had posted George Zimmerman’s address on the social media circuit. As it turned out, the Address Mr Lee had posted were not of George Zimmerman’s, but of an elderly couple who decided to live their retirement years in a quiet setting. These people were harassed and forced out of their homes by Lee Homies, but the down to Earth, peoples movie maker, and actor apologised to the couple and send them a ton of money.
Despite the mistakes made in this rush to judgement, Roseanne Barr would crawl out of the woodwork to follow in Lee’s footprints, posting George Zimmerman’s real address most likely to ride that wave of publicity Spike had received when he did it originally. Roseanne went on to say, “If someone don’t go down top the Zimmerman’s home, I will do it myself.” All and All The washed up comedian, who misses the limelight, also did it out of desperation, a career boost.
Sometimes, in the heat ofthe moment some things are said which many regret saying. This is America, and we are all innocent before proven guilty. When we create a mob like atmosphere it only degrades the people who are involved in the rhetoric in the ourcome.
