Wow, only 3 posts here before mine. Guess I should have looked at the # of posts and not assume there were many more since the last post I saw was May 23, 2008. LOL

Well, I only read the first 3 so far. Maybe Greyian Storm redeems humself later and maybe not. However, if you want to be technical, Iraq attacked the U.S. first in 1987 with the U.S.S. Stark attack. That's all that needs to be said there. Plus post #3 by the PFC of what Saddam stated to the U.S. government is a challenge by him. He did not learn after the first gulf war. He wanted another one IMO and was hoping the rest of the countries there would have been on the lines with him. Now I guess it is time to read posts #4 and later and see what others say. Who knows, maybe I will post a few more times by the time I get to the end.

I won't say that your wrong Greyian Storm because your very right in many ways. Except for one extremist have always been killing in Iraq because since the Iran-Iraq war sunni's and shia's completely hate each other. Now as far as who started this war yes Bush did but so did Saddam. In the real truth of the matter Saddam told our government in a blunt and direct statement "that if you thing I have WMD's then stop me from using them on you". And he finished by saying for Americans negotiations are by words alone but for him they come with death. That is why we went full force into Iraq and declared falsely that Afghan was a success. But being since we have the powerhouse military that we have hitting Iraq was easy. I personally in my tour to Iraq will say that the national are a completely mixed batch some love that we are taking the terrorists and extremist out and others hate that we are even there. But soldiers are people just like you guys only difference is our job and trainings. We have those soldiers like me that do good and we have those that do bad.

Sorry it's taken so long to reply to this, but you obviously don't know the smallest bit about this war. When did the Iraqis attack you? They didn't! First off, anyone remember the first Gulf War, America attacked first. Secondly, America didn't start this new war because they were "attacked", it was because Saddam had "weapons of mass destruction", which was all a big lie made up because Bush and his administration wanted some action (otherwise known as cheap oil). The Iraqi people appreciate your help? Eh...no. Sure, Saddam wasn't exactly the greatest leader, but he was actually a lot more liberal than most people realise. When Saddam was in charge, women led normal lives (like we do in the West). Now, they're not allowed have jobs, they can't go out with "supervision" (which is a man, who is considered their owner), they have to wear a burkha at all times in public. That's hardly free. But then again, America's definition of freedom is whether or not McDonald's are allowed open in that country.<br />
When did "these people" ever destroy you and your country. They didn't, that's the answer. Seriously, asking stupid rhetorical questions just makes an argument weaker. The extremists only started bombing in Iraq after it had been attacked by America, who haven't exactly been honourable. Heard of the story of injured Americans in a mosque (completely helpless), who were treated for injuries by Iraqi militants. Then when American reinforcements arrived, they shot the unarmed militants mercilessly. You probably haven't heard that, because that would make the war look bad in America (which Bush can not afford to let happen). I think all of this disproves your final conclusion "The normal society could not live with what they had before we came to their aide", as you've hardly come to their aide, you've made their lives infinitely worse.

Well of course I didnt like it. But then according to Grevian Storm I am an american so I am always right. Never mind that we were attacked by these people first. And the Iraqi people appreciate our help which no ones hears about. The mainline media only report the the horrible things. We are supposed to let these people destroy us and our country? We have not destroyed Iraq. The extremists have. The normal society could not live with what they had before we came to their aide.
