The Election

Twenty-nine million registered voters did not vote in the last election especially Democrats and because they did not vote, we are now stuck with the Republicans running the House- the party of no and big business and let’s give more to the rich, and ensure Obama’s is a one-term President!  Granted the Democrats made some huge blunders especially not standing up strong for their beliefs and caving to the Republicans in regards to the health care bill.  Shouldn’t all Americans have health care and not just the privileged?  We are the only industrialized nation that does not have universal health care.

So we voted and this is the result.  Republicans denying extending unemployment benefits to millions of Americans, dismantling the current health care legislation, giving tax breaks to the top wealthiest 2% inflating the deficit 700 billion dollars more, taking Social Security and Medicare apart, not willing to work with the current President or the Democrats on anything, and effectively destroying the middle class and every policy Franklin Delano Roosevelt instituted.  

Our President needs to stand strong and fight and not cave in to the Republican demands.  He needs to stand up for the people who elected him and give us what he promised- CHANGE- The Republicans want to take us back to the dark ages with the nobles (the very rich) and the serfs (middle class and poor) serving their masters. This President needs to show some spine!

Radicals are in our halls of Congress with more extreme ideas to further dismantle our Democracy. Yes I am referring to the Tea Party elected officials.  Their ideas are so extreme the even most of the established Republicans want to distance themselves from them.  

I am extremely angry, frustrated, and concerned of what this country is going to become and what our children will inherit. We the people must make our voices heard and demand our fair share through peaceful protest. If enough of us band together we will be heard. Let us not forget that we have many enemies in the world who watch us carefully and see our moral infrastructure decaying.  The Roman Empire crumbled first from within.  America could as well if we do not wake up and soon!
