The Fool on The…..beach
A meandering, soul searching commentary and suggestion.
Perhaps, "calm in a troubling ocean of storm".
Can we do without any of them? Can we do without some of them?
I still, all these years later, occasionally stand outside at night in awe and wonder; but not with fear or dread.
I suppose there is a fatalism attached to such thoughts; however it is not a fatalism based in doom.
I wonder what page will be turned tomorrow and what new thing I will learn or confront?
I’ve learned to be philosophical and non-judgmental of my fellow human beings. Even those that I can’t comprehend or appreciate. (A far cry from the adamant attitudes of youth.) Finally, that simple admonition of “Judge not, lest ye be judged” attributed to Christ, has meaning. For certainly I have learned that if I can avoid judgment of myself in that far off possibility, that I will be grateful for the “pass”.
Now before I mislead you into thinking that I am some flower sharing, drug addled remnant of the 60’s I want to assure you that I’m not.
I’m simply attempting to share some solace and viewpoint and calm in a troubling ocean of storm.
Tomorrow will come, life on Earth will continue and hopefully one day there will be a “Millennium” as prescribed in the Christian Bible. Perhaps finally we can all set down and prepare to learn the lessons that, that Creator intended for us to learn as the purpose for our existence (No, in my concept, “He” isn’t a spaceman!)
As a side thought to the “Survivalists” amongst us. What exactly do you think “survival” achieves? At what price does your survival come? What are you willing to do, simply to survive? Many of the possibilities could cost you your immortal soul (provided you believe in one).
So, my fervent suggestion? Start eating that food you’ve been laying up, get rid of those guns and delusions of a last courageous stand and simply embrace reality as it is rather than as you would like it to be.
We are so quickly becoming a polarized nation of apprehensions, that I fear what you will bring upon your own heads if you don’t change your minds. Perhaps in and of itself, that must happen too?
The choice is an individual one. If I could hand out free copies of Robin William’s movie “The Survivors” and then make people set down and watch it and comprehend it; perhaps it would do some slight good?
Now, to title this, in hopes of reaching those that could benefit from some of the comments. Hmmm?
