The Game Remains: Take It or Lose It in America
It is about the most astonishing US election of 2008. The article tells readers especially African Americans in today’s America achieving a dream is possible as long as one strives.
The road can virtually be very long and tedious, however if every black devotes himself it is reachable.
Parents need to bear the little girl’s motto and tell their children if they study hard they can imagine any thing for themselves. To do this they must committee themselves. They need to spur their kids to pursue the road. More practically, they need to prioritize the demands of their kids. Leaving their addiction aside, they can send their children to school. I am a new comer to this country. I came from one of the poorest nation in the world. There, most parents including mine have one motto, “being starved, I send my kids to school. This needs to be poor blacks’ motto. They should dedicate themselves to their children so that the children can have a better future.
It is irresponsible for parents to rush to indulge their addiction leaving the demands of their kids aside.
Obama’s achievement is great. No wonder if the blacks are in ecstasy for that, but it would be naive to expect ‘mena’ to fall down from the sky because only there is a black president in the country. The 2008 US election shows us a different America. The country has become a place where citizens are appraised by their deeds rather than by their color or sex unlike the past. So much so about the election, yet it is naïve of some blacks to covet wealth only because there is a black president in America. The whites of this country never denied the wrong doings their forefathers committed. Today’s whites atone their forefathers’ crime for enslaving blacks. Nevertheless, today the door is open in America for every body that craves to grow. Condemning the whites, denouncing the whites, reviling the whites may only exacerbate the blacks’ problem. Leaving their animosity aside, if the blacks turn their face to hard work, there is no any reason they fail to achieve their dream. Otherwise if they sit and expect Obama to change their life, they might tend to abhor the man they deified when things go wrong because of failure to work.
