The Most Dangerous Animal in America

The most dangerous animal in America doesn’t have claws fangs or is poisonous. It is more dangerous than any of those, it is the free-thinking American and that is what politicians are most afraid of. They are afraid we’ll see through their wall of lies and deceit and see them for what they really are, criminals. We have seen that they have no morals and are dishonest to the core, every man and woman sitting in Congress are guilty of crimes that would put an ordinary person behind bars for many years. Yet they continue to sit in Congress year after year, scheming to fill their bank accounts at the expense of their constituents.

We are beginning to see just how afraid of us they are. They have tried to block bloggers who disagree with them, even going as far as suing on trumped up charges. They are trying to block access to the internet, our greatest weapon against them. They try to block access to their Congressional records (luckily they are in the public domain), to their voting record, to their financial dealings, who they court in back rooms and who they take money from. Now, we’re seeing a glimpse into their private lives, their infidelities, their illicit love affairs and their born out of wedlock children. One former Republican candidate realized that his past wouldn’t allow him to continue and dropped out (but the money kept flowing in). Another candidate uses his stump tours not only to speak to potential voters but to push sales of his book (one I’m sure isn’t worth even wasting money on).

Now we’re seeing a tactic used that hasn’t been brought to light before, using shills to infiltrate blog sites and write only good things about their candidate while trying to ridicule those who would speak against their candidate. It was used to a limited success during the last presidential campaign simply because we weren’t watching  for them. Now we are. Another tactic being used as never before, limiting access to town hall meetings, either by screening attendees or throwing out those who disagree with the politician. Going a step further, they have begun charging for access, something never before done. The thinkers among us have begun to question authority, to question statements made and to bring to light the lies that accompany each campaign stop. They tell us that if we have nothing to hide, we should be open, the same doesn’t apply to them. They have plenty to hide and want it to remain hidden. John Kerry told heinous lies about his service in Vietnam and was caught in his lies (swift boated has taken on a whole new meaning).

Now we have a new crop of career politicians wanting to sit in the Oval Office and they have developed even more tactics to shut down the free thinker, namely, American citizens. The politicians are beginning to realize that business as usual just won’t work with us now, that things must change and for the better, for us, not them. Now they want to give the President the authority to completely shut down the internet, essentially closing us out. Under what circumstances would he do that? During an election year, it could be because too much negative material is being written about him, or any other candidate of his party. Hopefully, that’ll never happen but we’ll just have to wait and see.

As a fellow blogger, I appeal to each and every one of you to continue to think for yourselves, to read or watch every word spoken by a candidate and make your own, informed, decision. Don’t be mislead by smoke screens designed to obscure the facts, don’t be mislead by the words of one or two individuals as they may be working for a politician. Thinking is about the only freedom we have left, use it.
