The Voting Process

Is it just easier for people to pull the lever for their party?

The last three Presidential elections have been close.  The country has been clearly split between Democrats and Republicans.  The last election brought campaigning to a new level with the use of the Internet to sway people to vote for their candidate.  The news in the past week has again gone to bickering over which side is right.  The House is bickering like teenage girls.  I apologize if my comments lack decorum, but really, when is this going to stop?  This same Congress had the lowest approval ratings in history last November and yet they were voted back in.  Was it easier to just pull that party lever than to look at each candidate and their history while in office?  Nancy Pelosi has turned the lights off to stop debate, called the past President numerous names and stood staunchly refusing to work with the President.  She frequently stated it was his fault and therefore she had no choice.  Can we get real here for a moment?  I have the picture that as a housewife, she is the neighborhood gossip.  Yet, we have her in one of the highest offices in our government?  Harry Reid called President Bush many, many names and when asked if he would apologize he responded: “I call em as I see em”.   Really?  This is not about President Bush or President Obama.  This is about the office of the President and unless we start doing a better job of educating the people in the individuals being considered, the President, no matter who it is, will have their hands tied in making any decisions.  California, what were you thinking when you voted Nancy Pelosi back in to office?
