United We Stand
It’s our Future
In the beginning of time humanity struggled for survival from elements of the world. We learned how to protect ourselves from the weather, predators and everything else. We formed societies and governments that made rules of law for all of us abide by and we became civilized. Societies were formed all over the world and each had it own distinct stamp on which made it unique in one manner or another. Our struggles had paid off and the future looked brighter than ever and so we continued to perfect our ideas, technology and everything seemed wonderful. However because of our own complacency with the status quo, we didn’t realize that everything we had worked for was changing before our eyes. Government entities had begun to form their own vision for the future and reeling in society slowly into believing that to be accepted, we must choose our alliance and make allegiance to the government and no longer to each other. We became categorized into groups which allowed our humanity to be separated from the dream had. We became socialites, socialist, Republicans, Democrats and liberals, conservatives and those we could not find a name for, and we labeled them radicals. The government we so entrusted to unite us assisted us to separate.
The struggles of humanity became a battle cry for some form of governments throughout the world. History has shown that each time civil unrest and wars breakout, it’s for an idea to better humanity. We look to our leaders for guidance in these times of struggles. And unfortunate those we look for guidance, guide us no where. History has shown that the societies that were powerful and reliant on its military machine for conquest ended up destroying their own dreams in the process.
The Romans ruled by separating its classes in social groups and so did the Germans, The Russians and so on and so fourth. People struggled to make it in a society that did not accept them and they attempted to become a part of it, however because of their religion and ethnicity, they were scorned and so their struggles continued. The looked for a place to be accepted for who they are and found a country that held all their ideals, hopes and dreams. A country that proclaims, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness”. The country is America and they came for a better life.
America was borne on the dreams and hopes of those who came here from another country. These individuals brought their culture, knowledge and their experience with them and made this country better. As a whole we united and advanced our society into the next millennium and our lives became better. Our government worked for the common good of the people and no matter what status in society we were in, we were not left behind but somewhere and somehow that changed along the way. As Americans our complacency has divided we into what history has shown us could be our demise.
In the 80’s we learned a new terminology, conservatism and in the 90’s it was tax and spend Liberals and political correctness. America’s political plateau had changed right before our eyes and we sat complacent with the status quo. The political regime changed us from individual into a party alliance. We are no longer individuals in the political stand point but an alliance for our officials. We are either, conservative; Liberals, Democrats, Republicans and we have allowed it to happen. In the landscape of politics we have to choose a label to be accepted and to be heard because if we are not neither one nor the other we are not accepted into the political regime. And thus we argue amongst each other, label each other and condemn those who won’t align themselves our views. Are we political labels or are we individuals who can decide ourselves what our future will be?
In the upcoming elections remember that the ‘Party” will inundate us with lies, propaganda and distorted facts so they can continue to rule. America it is your turn to stand up for your future, your dreams and the dreams of your loved ones. Let’s unite under a common cause and instead of a “Label”.
