Amazing Facts About Dreams

Dreams are among the most mysterious and awe-inspiring aspects of our lives. There are numerous things about dreams we didn’t know, though.

When you are sleeping, you are paralysed. Due to your body trying to stop you from reacting to dreams (crashing a car will obviously evoke you to jerk), glands secrete a hormone that relax your body, and essentially paralyse it.

When you are snoring, you aren’t dreaming.

You forgot 90% of your dreams.

12% of people (who aren’t blind) dream in black and white.

People who are blind after birth can see images in dreams. People who are blind at birth can have dreams, but with no images- only the senses they have (taste, touch, smell, hear)

Men dream more of other men, but women have a balance between men and women.

You can only dream about what you know, so strangers in dreams are actually people you’ve seen before, but forgotten.

Dreams have deep symbolic meaning, and usually aren’t about what’s in them.
