Child Psychology

How children think and act.

Many children experience diverse problems with their families such as their parents being divorced, parental losses, and many others that contributes in the decrease in their self-esteem. If a parent decides to marry another man or woman that can result to lack of attention for their children then this can cause them to do delinquent things while in the process of growing. Children who experience the same kinds of undertakings has the tendency to seek for people who can understand and relate to them and in most cases, they turn to their sibling(s) if there are. Researches indicates that older siblings has the great capability in influencing their young siblings especially in opposite-gender in divorced families. Furthermore, feelings of dissapointments towards step-parents are natural for children because the urge in them to gain back the attention of their real parent intensifies as they continue to grow.

The absence of one parent in a divorced family could make the children more closer to their siblings for assistance. Thus making them rely on their siblings especially in decision-making and in most activities that they wanted to do. This reason makes them most of the times go to the wrong direction because of the role model in behavior. If they established a strong bond, then sibling incest might worsen the case because of much adoration that the young sibling gives to the older one. In addition, the only person that the young sibling would tend to give his/her trust is to her older sibling.

Children who are early engaged in wars are most likely to become psychologically, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally ill. These children as they stay longer in battlefields are close to evil and through times, they will learn the art of killing. Participating in wars, they can witness various events that can be unbearable for them leading thme to sometimes experience trauma. In the research of the UNICEF, it is said that increasing number of children especially in Africa become more and more used in becoming “soldiers”. The episodes of war makes the children with less or no choice but to continue such life and are forced to bear all the happenings to them in order to survive. Thus, this kind of practice can make children violent and aggressive. Therefore, children can gain confidence in doing vile things even not at war. Early military schooling for young people should be controlled because of the bad things that they can experience as they live in dark barrcacks.
