Control Your Dreams While Being Totally Aware: A Simple Guide to Lucid Dreaming
I have been researching for four months and it’s finally here. Learn how to have fun while you sleep with simplicity.
An extensively researched method by me (I would like to keep my name private)
Welcome to my instructional program on controlling your own dreams or “lucid dreaming” as some call it. Let me tell you a bit about myself, I have always been interested in lucid dreaming and I began searching on the internet about it. I found some instructions that made my head spin with the sheer complexity of them. This kept me awake at night trying to get the method right. I then decided to research my own method and I have compiled four months of intensive study into this single simple lucid dreaming method. Don’t be intimidated by the length of this paper, its rather simple. Let’s get started shall we?
Focus:
My first step into this new method was focus, the first few nights of my tests I focused on being totally aware in my dreams and controlling them. I learned this lesson: don’t focus too hard or else you will have trouble getting to sleep and you won’t dream at all. When you first get into bed think to yourself “I will be able to control my dreams” and think about it for a while longer and then push it to the back of your mind.
White noise:
One thing that I cannot stress enough in this method is white noise. What I mean by this is small noises in the background as you are falling asleep. A friend and I conducted a test (he snores loudly) we went camping and he didn’t wear a nose pad to stop his snoring, I fell asleep to his snoring using the focus part of my method and the next thing I knew I was in a lucid dream. The noise keeps the mind awake and the mind will be more active during sleep thus causing the sleeper to be more awake when dreaming.
More Mind Activity:
I conducted a few more tests on making my mind more active before sleep. I discovered that video games awaken the mind more. I suggest games before bed that don’t require too much thinking but also aren’t totally mindless. I suggest World of Warcraft, Age of Mythology, Age of Empires, Empire Earth, Guild Wars, etc. Don’t have those games? The Internet can also provide thought-provoking games such as escape games.
Creativity:
Creativity is a significant part of the process, I play an instrument to boost my creativity, but other things work too. Want to paint? Not good at it? Doesn’t matter. Just paint from your creative part of mind. Anything creative works even acting.
Sleep Time:
Now this method works, but I have found that it only works when I have a long time to sleep. If you are in a hurry in the morning and need to get up early it won’t work then. Give yourself a long time to sleep because dreams occur usually in the early morning.
Conclusion:
Thank you for reading these instructions for pleasant dreams! This is the simplest method around and it works for most people. Doesn’t work for you? Don’t worry I can give you links to other methods but I urge you to try mine first
