Conversational Hypnosis: How Does It Work?
Defines what conversational hypnosis is and how it works.
Conversational hypnosis is very similar to what NLP is. NLP stands for neuro linguistic programming. What NLP is, is a method to change the way you think and perceive reality through repetitive communicative therapy. By hearing the same thing over and over again, or by listening and understanding to certain statements and being bombarded with audio recordings or explanations long enough, you will learn to think differently. Conversational hypnosis is the same thing essentially. What conversational hypnosis does, is it puts a person into a deep state of awareness or relaxation. Once a person is in this state of awareness, he or she is then instructed to different verbal commands over and over again. When this happens, in a deep state of relaxation, the human mind is reprogrammed and taught to understand things differently and believe different things, to in effect, cause the person who is under hypnosis to be a different person and to act in a different way.
Conversational hypnosis and NLP are the strongest ways to deal with situations in life that cause stress. Any time that you so desire change, change can only occur when a person is able to realize that change is possible. If someone is struggling in life, it is because of mixed perceptions and firmly held beliefs that do not allow them to change and cause pain ans suffering. Conversational hypnosis is the best type of mental treatment that there is on the market today, in my opinion. Conversational hypnosis can also be very destructive if put into the wrong hands. Televisions is also a form of conversational hypnosis as it relays messages over and over again in different forms that influence thought and action. Anything can really be a form of conversational hypnosis, even a simple encounter with another human being can be said to be a form of conversational hypnosis. The reality is that there is no simple truth to this form of therapy, or truth to reality in general. This practice of hypnosis is strong and is the best way to gain control and mastery over your mind, reality and anyone else’s that you so desire.
It has been believed that this form of hypnosis has been used to control populations and influence the mass perception of humanity. There have actually been recorded incidents and cases of where these forms of hypnosis have been used in governmental experiments and other forms of mind control. If you do enough research you can find out a great deal of how strong of an affect conversational hypnosis has and can have, if used correctly.

Hello Alex,
Interesting article although I am not sure it’s entirely accurate to say that the main tool is repetition. The repeating of suggestion comes up in all forms of hypnosis and is a valid technique, however, conversational hypnosis is much more than that. It is a combination of various techniques aimed at getting suggestions past the conscious critical factor to be absorbed by the unconscious mind. In order to do this one uses such things as interspersal, embedded commands, phonetic ambiguities and metaphors.
It is a fascinating subject though, is it not?

Best book I ever read on this was Igor Ledochowski’s Training Manual. I do think repetition is important, but the depth of the subject’s hypnotic sleep is also a factor.
You’ll find a lot of information about hypnosis, it’s history, the major players in its development in the last 100 years or so and how to do it for yourself and others here: http://angelakaelin.com/about-hypnosis.html
