Music doesn’t only affect your mood. Music affects the way your brain responds chemically, it also affects the nervous system. Music can help keep you youthful, give you more stamina and extend your life.

Clear Up Your Thinking

Hearing music with lots of rhythmic drum beats can make you think clearer.  This rhythmic music can actually sharpen your math skills.  Rhythmic music makes the logic part of the brain think better, it’s said that when you tap your feet, to this music your helping your brain as well.

Get Rid Of Anxiety

Hearing Indian music lowers anxiety and fear.  A study was conducted and showed people who enjoy the Indian sitar, had a less stress level.  It’s not known yet why Indian music does this.  Studies have been done to show that plants grow better, with this type of music.

Listen to rock music and steer clear of a speeding ticket.  High tempo music activates the alertness region of the brain.  Rock music makes you more aware of what’s around you.

Listen to classical music and have a better memory.  This music works the creative right side, at the same time retaining knowledge works the left side of the brain.  Working both sides of the brain revs up your memory.

Need To Shed Some Pounds

Listening to slow music can slow down your appetite.  This music makes you take less bites per minute.  This means you eat slower and feel fuller faster.

Be More Outgoing

Listen to instrumental music it makes you comprehend and express yourself better.  Listening to instrumental music, targets the part of the brain, that is responsible for speech and thinking.  So, if you have a speaking engagement, listen to instrumental music.
