Doing Something You Love

An insight into my personal goals, and determination.

You don’t need a degree to be a famous author. I for one intend to prove it. Honing my skills on such awesome sites as Triond, and Hub pages, but writing in order to fund a career in music?! Many don’t think of this as a plausible idea. A fun job to fund a fun job, to fund another happy fun job. That seems to be the cycle my life’s taking nowadays. But is there anything wrong with that? I should hope not. To me it seems that whatever my career happens to become, that’ll be fun.

People look down upon these sort of extra-curricular activities, at least from what I’ve seen. “Get a job” is something I hear constantly on a day by day basis. And it’s not something I enjoy hearing, one could easily be happily jobless. There’s whole books on the subject. trust me. It’s not something I heard when I was in the Navy, but obviously, these are things I need to learn, and people are way too eager not to let me learn them. It’s almost as though I’m being deprived of life experiences.

I don’t think anyone wants to be babied all their life, but for some reason, everybody and their grandma loves to pamper. As though they’ve been through these things, and can’t stand to see people live their lives. The exception I’ve seen to this rule of course, are friends. My friends give me suggestions of course, but not in the nagging, “do this now, cause I’m psychotic” attitude of say a mother, or an emotionally impaired girlfriend.

In fact, I was thinking about this the other day, and I’ve almost convinced myself that it’s the female of the species with this psychotic attitude. I can’t blame them if it’s in their genes to pamper, but everything has a price, and some of these females need to “relax” and let a man live his life. Don’t get me wrong, I’m more than grate full for everything that the women folk in my life do, but I suppose I’ll never understand the need to control another person’s life.

These are things that can really take a toll on an entrepreneur like myself. My girl thinks this is just a phase, and that I need to stop living in a dream world. I for one enjoy my dreams. My cab driver told me that life is made of dreams. Well, I believe it, and so should you!
