Don’t Get Your Signals Crossed: Read The Right Body Language
Body Language is an unconscious way that our body shows its intentions pertaining to the men or women that we like to get to know.
Positive Signals
In an environment with many predatory males and even females… a wall flower is like the word itself, some one who is forgotten, someone stuck to the wall. Try to make yourself seen…noticed. Try to be more inviting specially to the one you want to attract…the opposite sex.
Relaxation plays a vital role specially when a man or woman meet for the very first time. Well true that first meetings usually cause and brings out the jitters but when one is tense it hardens muscles in the face. This facial expression then comes out jerky, awkward and ungraceful. This may make you look older than you really are or seem.
Try doing some simple exercises for relaxation like the deep breathing exercise. Try smiling and thinking nice thoughts since smiling has an instant effect on people around you. It puts them at ease. Smiles can either be true or false. A false or plastic smile lasts longer than a true and genuine smile.
To seem more approachable try to sit or stand erectly. A slumped position creates a negative impression specially in women. It tends to be seen as a defensive posture suggesting barriers are up and i am not ready to have anyone get to know me.
Men should try to hold a woman’s gaze directly. His gaze should be friendly rather than deep and penetrating. At times this can be looked upon as fierce. An open gaze matched with a smile is a winning combination since the smile softens the gaze thus working wonders.
Sexual Signals
One can notice that it is the female of the species that tend to use more body language than men. Though males are usually the wooers meaning they use their sexual prowess in order to get the girl to copulate with whether it is a peacock fanning his colorful feathers to show the hen of his choice to a man dancing provocatively suggestively in front of a female.
Women will in turn emit scents…pheromones..like those of the animals. This is done by the body in order to attract a male of their liking.
Our Body Language is most expressive when we are with a member of the opposite sex. Though men and women may not be conscious of their real feelings but if they are really…genuinely attracted to another person of the opposite sex the body broadcasts this message loud and clear.
Sexual attraction causes the body to release hormones, chemicals such as adrenaline that makes the heart beat faster thus leading to feelings of anxiety, nervousness and embarassment. Thus when our society becomes more complex so does our body expressions or language for we must now cope with the demands of work, career and social life.
Therefore in order to as they say bag the gentleman or lady of your dreams do read between the lines or better yet get the signals of the body correct and you will not go wrong.
