Emotional Quotient (Eq)

EQ is not talent, achievement or great personality. EQ does not replace the IQ, not related to religion or culture and not gender.

According to Salovey and Meyer, a portrait of emotional intelligence is the ability to recognize emotions themselves, manage themselves and express emotions appropriately, motivate yourself to recognize others and build relationships with others. As is known, emotional intelligence is different from intellectual intelligence. Emotional intelligence (EQ) is not in teaching but was formed. EQ is not talent, achievement or great personality. EQ does not replace the IQ, not related to religion or culture and not gender. In fact, women have a higher EQ than men.

Emotional intelligence (EQ) apparently can be repaired, and we all have the potential to do so. Way include:

  •  

      1. Reading the situation, which considering the situation around you.

  •  

      2. Listening and listening to the speaker,

  •  

      3. Ready to communicate. Perform communication is always difficult even in siatuasi.

  •  

      4. Do not fear rejection. So prepare yourself. The important “business”.

  •  

      6. Clever to choose priorities.

      8. Speak in words. Speak your mind through the words clearly.

      9. Being rational, emotional intelligence related to mood, but still requires a rational mindset, especially in employment.

Others again, according to Goleman, emotional intelligence dikatagorikannya into 5 (five) regions, namely:

      4. Recognizing the emotions of others, namely empathy. Empathy is built based on self-awareness. The ability to recognize other people’s feelings.

  •  

      5. Maintain relations, namely to support the popularity of leadership and interpersonal success.
