How an Unstable Home Environment Can Severely Stress The Intellectual Functioning of a Child:
by In the enormously large family called "The World", one can find a treasure house of characters: good -natured, sensitive, wicked, and so on. Now, one question that comes to mind is "Where do the roots of such unscrupulous or harmful emotions lie?". Beyond doubt,they originate at home.
I believe visualization of a theme would render a clear understanding of a topic..so
I take the readers to my land of imaginations..
Now, Imagine a house with dad,mom and a child..Both are busy office-goers. They wake up, awaken the child, have breakfast together, then get ready in a hustle-bustle with a lot of tension in the air. Mom’s getting late and there, the child doesn’t know where he put his bag! And he comes to mom and asks in an innocently sweet tone,”Mom,can you find my bag for me?” And mom replies something harsh. Then, she somehow finds the bag for the child and all leave home.
Its evening and the child’s back from school. The kid awaits dad’s return-to show the prize he has won. And as dad comes home, the child rushes up to him and says “Dad, look what I’ve got!”
And from the other side-no reaction. How crippled that delicate heart would feel!
The child starts losing interest in things because his works are not appreciated.
He starts involving himself in wrong deeds. The child starts neglecting parents in return for their negligence shown earlier.
Afterall, only when care is given can it be expected back.
Then the child grows in negligence and so he too starts neglecting his parents. Dad and mom mean nothing to him in course of time. He does not feel the need to think about his career and future as he grows. So he does not study, and thereby has a very less Intelligence Quotient (IQ) and Emotional Quotient(EQ). Finally,his intellectual functioning is totally hampered, the sole reason being an unstable family environment.
The parents would sit back and grumble “What only didn’t I provide my child with?” Had anyone seen the past episodes, they should say to the parents, “You gave your child everything but missed on one simple yet priceless thing: care n’concern”. The parents would brood then but in vain.
Such an unstable family environment prevails almost throughout the world.
A kind note I would like to deliver to such parents is “Please do not show your tension on your loved ones-especially your children,because the child will lose his love for parents and home gradually”.
The very sweetness of a home lies in good parenthood. The more sweet a home is,the better is the intellectual functioning of the child.
