How I Plan to Use Psychology in My Life
How I Plan to Use Psychology in my Life.
My primary career choice is some sort of social worker. I want a job that deals exclusively with people that have problems. Throughout my life, people have told me how helpful I can be, and I’ve noticed that helping people is what truly makes me happy. I love unraveling complicated problems for people and helping them see the way. I’m never biased, or at least I haven’t been so far, and I always only want the best for the person. With psychology, I can hone in on my ability to help people by learning more about how a person works. With study, I can more easily find out what troubles a person and also handle a wider variety of cases.
A dream that I’ve always had was to own my own game shop. I would sell things like comic books, video games, card games, and board games. As with all businesses, I will have to advertise my store and my products to get more customers. Marketing is a field based almost entirely on psychology. The more I know about psychology, the better I can practice marketing. However, current marketing can do one thing to me very well, and that’s make me sick. I can’t stand commercials, magazine adds, or anything telling me to buy something I don’t need. I dislike useless products, and hate marketing that is based entirely on lies. For that, I can focus on the ethical parts of psychology to advertise my store without being completely amoral.
I have always considered myself a natural when dealing with people, therefore studying the science based on that activity only makes sense. I perform psychological studies every day in my own way, and applying the sciences I learn to all the things I do is not only unavoidable, but also calculated into my future. Assuming all goes well, psychology will help enrich my life and make all things more easy and enjoyable.
