It may help you contain illogical impassioned actions such as violence and extreme depression (dependant on circumstances) but it doesn't stop emotion altogether. In fact it's only logical to realise your body has certain emotional needs that must be fulfilled or you will fall into an irrational state. It certainly wouldn't stop mankinds desire to know more, in fact it may just help it to understand what it sees better. Logic and rationality are not bad things when applied on a day to day basis.
