Love and Lust

A comparison between love and lust.

There are not commitments to a lustful relationship. The person who has the lust has no intention of marriage, serious relationship or even seeing you again. They don’t take anything sacred, not your body, your mind and definitely not your emotions. Typically, a lustful encounter is a fulfillment of a need a want and nothing more. Unfortunately, the people who lust over the other person, on most occasions will not confess that it is only lust. They will lure them with lies to get what they want and as soon as they get what they want, they leave the other person hurt, emotional and confused. To the person seeking the fulfillment, it was great and just another conquer or notch on their belt.

Love will always be a confusing mess. There is no proper meaning to put on it. It could mean so much to one person and the so little to the next. Love is apart of our everyday lives whether we feel it for a pet or a significant other and it is important that we learn as a society not to take advantage of that. As a society we tend to misuse the word love and throw it around in our vocabulary. It is a special word and we should learn how to cherish it because without love out world would not be the world that we have today.

Lust is not confusing at all. The meaning is very clear and only means one thing. Even when used as a lust for power, it is still a desire, a need, a want with no conditions. Unfortunately, lust is also a part of our daily lives and we must learn to know the difference between love and lust. Sometimes people who lust over someone else, don’t even know that it is lust, they believe it is love.

As mentioned before, love is special and should not be used in conjunction to love even in a marriage. When you lust over someone, it is just that lust. When you love someone, it is just that love.
