Lucid Dreaming and Dream Paralysis
All about lucid dreaming and dream paralysis!
I’m sure some of you have heard of Lucid Dreaming or Dream Paralysis, but do you know what that is?
Lucid Dreaming – Lucid dreaming is a state of dreaming when you’re aware that you are sleeping. While in Lucid dreaming, you can do anything you want, anything your crazy mind will think of: fly, go to mars, invade Poland with a unicorn army or even be together with your ex-girlfriend.
A few things you need to attain lucid dreaming : Reality Checks – Reality check is one of the most important thing to gain Lucidity. It’s basically an act of something that will remind you that you are sleeping. Reality checks are easy, when you are sleeping try to push your tongue through your teeth (in dreams, your teeth won’t stop your tongue), another one is to look at a watch, look away, and look back at it (in dreams, it will probably change), or another one it to turn light switches (in dreams, they don’t work). Dream Recall – There’s no point having a lucid dream if you can’t remember having it, now is there? Dream Recall is incredibly important because it allows you to remember your dreams. To remember your dreams write down them in a notebook, try laying around and thinking about what you’ve dreamt and quickly write it down.
If your lucid dreams do not work there are a few methods to enhance it. 1) Before going to sleep, repeat to yourself “I will become lucid” and it might work. 2) Another way to increase the chances of lucidity is to eat a toasted peanut butter and banana sandwich. Yes, you heard me, it tastes good and it increases your chances because it has vitamin B12 that greatly increase metabolic (and therefore brain) activity and B6 is famous for improving Dream Recall (go figure). Eat about 2 sliced at night and it will greatly increase your chances of lucidity.
A few Lucid Dreaming tips: 1) To wake up you can imagine a door that will wake you up, or try to open your eyes even though they’re open. 2) If you want to extend your dream, think about food (dunno why but if helps). 3) If you’re scared, stay completely calm and think happy thoughts. 4) If you want to fly and it doesn’t work, try imagining that you have a pill or rocket boots that will help you do so.
Dream Paralysis ( Hypnogagia ) – Dream Paralysis is a scary thing where you are sleeping and at the same time, awake. Sounds silly but it’s possible, you might have experienced it already. Dream paralysis is scary to those who try it for the first time, but it is a good dissociative high with possible hallucinations, waking dreams and can even include Lucid Dreaming when you’re expecting it.
Now, the basic thing is that you are lying in your bed and you can’t move, you might see scary things and hallucinations. Interested? The first step is to lie on your back and NOT MOVE. You will have the urge to scratch or roll over, this is the brain checking if you are sleeping, while lying around, you can thing about anything and listen to soft music. After that you will start feeling numbness in your toes, going to your head, after that your brain will go to sleep, but you will still be conscious. Some people see scary thing like demons or men in black, but you just have to stay calm. A big tip if you need to stop this dream paralysis is to hold your breath and shock the body.
Sometimes Dream Paralysis is random so don’t be scared and thing happy thoughts.
WARNING : DREAM PARALYSIS IS REALLY DANGEROUS TO NEWBIES, THIS IS NOT A JOKE, YOU WILL BE REALLY SCARED AND MAY HAVE A HEART ATTACK! SO DO NOT RISK THIS IF YOU HESITATE, ONLY CONFIDENT PEOPLE CAN DO THIS!
