Mensa and Iq: They are Not at The Top of The Financial Ladder
You would expect someone with a genious IQ be at the top of the world financially, economically – well actually very few every archive the so called financial freedom.
Being a genius is not as important as using that piece of machinery to get to the top of the financial ladder. You can have a great machine but without using it for the desired goal, that goal will never materialize. These people maybe are more interested in using their brains to show off than to do business. Maybe they are just not that interested in the money. Maybe they even do not like it.
On the other hand you see some people and it is not quite rare to see a person with an average IQ – maybe even lower than average IQ – earning a million dollars a year – tax free.
How do they do it? They probably do not care about the IQ tests, just insert a random answer and get it all wrong. Or maybe they try their best but they still fail. The business world is more than performing simple logic operations, we have to deal with the human factor and there is no accurate test for that factor, no matter how many questions there are.
What is the correlation between IQ score and riches? None – unless your job depends on having abilities that are directly influenced by IQ such as reasoning and calculating with numbers or using words accurately. In that kind of job yes you need to have a genius IQ to succeed.
Are all IQ tests inaccurate and unable to measure intelligence? These tests are used to measure analytical intelligence, the most important intelligence for daily tasks the world needs the most. A programmer needs to have a very high IQ score, so needs the doctor, so needs the writer, so needs the math teacher.
The musician, the painter – there is no test for these abilities and you see more millionaires among these than you see among the standard professions.
