Mental Compatibility: The Greatest Obstacle to Romantic Relationships

We all witness in our lives two people living with each other with the same intelligence levels, their lives flow naturally. On the other hand we also witness two people with two different intelligence levels and problems are a constant.

A good example would be a smart woman with a dumb man. He says and gets angry at her because he knows the Earth is flat while she is a scientist and knows the Earth is perfectly round and she can see it every day using any software.

This is the problem of socializing, dating and marrying people with different intelligence levels.

Now here is a great man to date, someone you can have a conversation with, someone who would fill your mind with decent ideas.

Mental compatibility is the greatest obstacle to personal relationships specially intimate relationships.

What kind of mate are you looking for?

If you are a smart person the chances of finding someone of your level of intelligence are pretty low. According to the Bell’s Curve, the higher your level of intelligence, the harder it is to find a suitable mate for you.

IQ tests alone will not give you the level of intelligence of one person completely because IQ measures just some intelligence, it does not measure social intelligence for example which just as important as analytical intelligence specially if your job involves dealing with people.

However search for social status pyramid and see that the higher your status is, the lonelier you are.

Those at the top are not just a rarity, they are almost non existent and using an extreme situation, there are millions of priests but the only a few bishops and only one pope.

If the pope tried to get along with priests he would have a very hard time doing so because their mental levels are very different and based on social behavior, priests would have a bad attitude towards the pope according to Dale Carnegie “How to stop worrying and start living” and according to José Santos “Divine Fury”.

Try to get along with people of a social status lower than yours, go ahead and see what happens.

An interesting point. I have found this to be true upon observation. I think this is why some men fear women, and why some women fear men- the social and intelligence factors. Good share, Redburn. If I haven’t been now, I am your fan.
