Psychological Gains of Being Online
Although every individual is of unique psychological constitution, but still everyone wants to interact with some near like-minded persons. For a person of some value, he/she may not get proper persons to interact with or for opening his/her mind before somebody in his/her local environment. Internet provides the world’s cream population to interact wherein everyone finds like or nearly like-minded persons to interact with on many social sites on the web.
I have dealt with problems and glitches of online relationships in my two previous articles. That may give an impression to many readers that being online has only negative value. To correct this proposition, here I intend to deal with what a person gains psychologically by being online, apart from being in an ocean of information.
Although every individual is of unique psychological constitution, but still everyone wants to interact with some near like-minded persons. For a person of some value, he/she may not get proper persons to interact with or for opening his/her mind before somebody in his/her local environment. This is exactly true for me living in a backward village where most of the persons are illiterate or semi-literate. Internet provides the world’s cream population to interact wherein everyone finds like or nearly like-minded persons to interact with on many social sites on the web.
Every one of us has something to say, and some of us are, really, willing to listen to others to gain knowledge of the people on the globe. In a local environment, it is hard to find a keen listener while the Internet provides listeners to all if they search.
Moreover, Internet provides various types of facilities to post in writing one’s views on a matter of his/her interest, and it get published and made available to public for reading through search engines. Thus, one needs not to get suffocated with his/her idea and set him/herself free by uploading it on the web. Once it is published, there are bright chances of finding an interested reader for the contents some day. Thus, Internet bridges the distance gap between a writer and an interested reader.
Writing articles online, has another positive aspect which I would like to point out here. Due to fast pace of changes in our outlooks and ways of living, generation gap in the human society is on the rise wherein youths don’t get benefited by the experiences of seniors, and the seniors experiences going waste, as they find no takers. Online services provide a very valuable way by which seniors can write their experiences and get them published online, leaving the youths to read and learn with full liberties of their own. Else, in a locality or in family boundaries, very few youths like to interact with their seniors.
One thing that need be followed by all those online is not to hurt anybody by your writings. For this personal references must be avoided in writings online. This is a question of online ethics which need be followed by all.
