Remembering Your Dreams (Dreaming More)
I use to never remember my dreams but then one day while randomly surfing the web I came across the term “lucid dreaming”.
I won’t get into what that is right now but I will tell you this. You NEED to remember you dreams in order to lucid dream. Now the way that I achieve this is very simple and easy to do. Every night before I go to bed I simply repeat about 10 times, “I will remember my dreams.”. Every once and a while I might throw in a “I will remember all of my dreams.” At first I thought that nothing would happen seeing as I have tried a couple alternatives which I will get to in a second. I was astounded when I had a dream about a tiger being my pet. And even more so when I tried again the next night and had 2 dreams without waking.
Now before you go and try it I would like to let you know that every single person on this planet is different and there is definitely the chance that this won’t work for you. Don’t worry though as you can try these alternatives:
- eat/drink something before bed such as cheese, chocolate, or chocolate milk. Nothing huge but definitely something.
- keep a Dream journal. My least liked option but Ive heard it works. You simply write down every detail about your dreams down when you wake up. This is mandatory for lucid dreaming and you’ll get deeper than just writing them down so if that’s what your trying to do then you might as well get in the habit.
- Start a story in you head and keep it going until you fall asleep. My neighbor does this and I have tried it to one avail.
There are definitely some other ways and you might want to try to develop your own. It certainly won’t hurt to try these before you do.
