Saying Good-bye

I know a little something about losing a loved one and the devastation that comes with that. In 2004 I lost my older brother.He was my hero and my inspiration. I’ve dealt with every kind of feelings from sadness to denial.I have  learned alot from the death of my brother. Not only about him, but as myself as well. When we loss someone that we love so much. We have two options. We can continue to live, or we can die with them. For the longest timi thought about dying with him. Then i realized  that descion wasn’t the one that i really wanted to make. As hard as it is to be hear without my best friend. That is the way that it had to be. His job was finished, and mine wasn’t. As hard as it is to believe. Dying isn’t the hard part. Living is the part that is really hard. For awhile i soley survived for the ones i loved. Now i survive for me. I believe in my heart that when we say good-bye to someone. It isn’t forever. When our job is finished, and we live our lives to the best of our ability. We are reunited with our loved ones that we have lost. Until thta day comes we have to take one day at a time, and enjoy the gift that we have been given. It may have been easier to have never known the person that we loved, but for me that wouldn’t have been what i wnated. So much of who i am today is because of him. Not just because i knew him, but because i had the chance to love him. I am a better person for that. Try to live life with no regrets. Tell the ones you love how you feel. Make time for them. Don’t let silly dissagreements  decide your path for you. Life is short. In the blink of an eye someone that you love will be gone as well. Make sure when that time comes that you have done everything that you can to let them know that you care.
