The Most Devastating Emotions That a Person Can Have – Anger
Anger is one of the most devastating emotions that a person can have. When a person becomes angry, he loses his senses and can do things that normally he would not do. It is only after the deed is done that there may be cause for regret.

Burst of Anger
I had an experience with a soldier when both of us became angry and said things we never should have said. It all started one day when the soldier’s son; a little boy of six or seven, walked by my house and started throwing stones at my house. I shouted at him. The boy ran home and the next thing I knew his father, a big burly fellow, was at my gate. At that time I was a hot-headed youngster of seventeen and though I stood a whole head shorter than him, I never gave in an inch.
In anger he uttered, “I’ll punch you, man!”
Those words incensed me and I uttered, “Oh yeah! Try it, if you could! ”
The burst of anger hung over us for a moment before he strode away fuming. I was equally angry and was ready to take anything he could give me, and give him back in return, with interest. Such was my madness, the blindness that anger bought to my eyes.
When my mother heard of the incident, she gave me scolding and later explained the idiocy of my actions. It took some time for me to realize the seriousness of the situation but luckily I did.
So I walked over the soldier’s house. When he saw me coming, he came out to meet me. I knew that he was ready to do battle with me. Indeed he was about to punch me when I said, “I’ m sorry.”

A very good article full of wise words. I have a very hot temper though it is rarely aroused. Sometimes I have needed to lose it to make my family realise that I can’t be walked all over. Hang on I can feel a poem coming on……..LOL

Wonderful article, my friend. You drive home many valuable points. Acting in anger can only be folly. Nicely done!

Thank you for bringing up some very good points…anger can be very destructive. Howverem I do not think anger in and of itself is destructive, only the actions it easily can induce. I think sometimes anger is right, and it is needed. It is how someone manages their anger that becomes so vital.

A good point of view. Anger is the one emotion that I feel can cause the most problems.
