Ruby, I had to go look. B Nelson had a great set of questions. You ask a very good one, too. I quit asking myself if I was “good” or not quite a while ago. Instead I ask, “Did I contribute?” “Did the person with I just interacted gain something positive from this exchange?” and “Can I live with myself tomorrow if I do this today?” And far too often, “Now how am I going to live this down?”

I believe that self preservation is a natural, God given instinct, as is protecting one’s loved ones. Murder and theft are not.
Each individual knows where to draw the line. It boils down to personal, moral choices. A “good” person might kill to protect his/her self or child, but not for any other reason.
