Us Citizens Lack in Creativity Comparatively

Around 300 thousand citizens of United Stations from different age segments have been analyzed recently by Kyung Hee Kim who is from College of William and Mary. The analysis took place for understanding the current trend of Americans in particular in creativity, thinking and idea generation. In the study conducted by Kyung Hee, the results of the 300,000 respondents who responded to her analysis study were quite disturbing and astonishing for U.S.

The trend of thinking and idea generation among Americans has fallen drastically by almost 4 percent if the quality of creativity is talked about. Similarly around 7 percent downfall has been reflected in the quantity of creativity skills in Americans. The downfall in both quantity and quality has been compared for a period of almost 18 years. The creativity quality and volume wise was much better in Unites States citizens in 1990 by almost 4 percent and 7 percent respectively.

Over a period of time, the number of people in America who can generate quality ideas and can be counted are creative has fallen drastically. Similarly the volume of persons who can be considered as creative and new ideas generators also has alarmingly gone down.

The reason given by Hee Kim are the universal factors that are affecting the civilization worldwide that is television, internet, video games, computer games, chat, social networking, non creative programs on television et al.
