What Our Children Will Not Do

The advance of technology is a wonderful thing.

The advance of technology is a wonderful thing, although we grew up with certain elements of which we were firing, we know the nostalgia of times past, even if not better.

Can you imagine all that, by these developments, our children are not going to know? For example:

1. Use a VCR to view or record a movie.

2. Listen to a radio cassette in a recorder.

3. Rewind tapes with a pencil.

4. Use the MiniDisc.

5. The sounds of dial-up modem connecting.

6. The buzz of a dot matrix printer.

7. The diskettes or Zip disks.

8. MS DOS.

9. Do homework by handwriting.

10. Blowing the dust off the NES cartridges or Family Game.

11. Finding information in an book or encyclopedia.

12. Just do banking transactions when the bank is open, as with purchases.

13. Send letters.

14. Not knowing what all your friends are doing at every moment.

15. The phone book.

16. Remember the telephone number of friends (from memory!).

17. Have real privacy.

18. Wait minutes (or hours) to download something.

19. Typewriters.

20. Putting a roll to the camera (and that does not ensure!).

21. The answering machine.

22. Public telephones.

23. Not knowing who’s calling.

24. Went to a video store to rent a movie.

25. Wait until a movie comes to TV or video if you could not see in the movies.

26. Go to the car door to open it.

27. Write something in your own handwriting.

28. Get the ball inside the mouse to clean it.
