15 Kisses and The Message They’re Sending Your Sweetheart

- The Cheek Kiss. This is often the preferred first date kiss. It says: I really like you and also keeps the contact respectful. It can also mean: I just want to be friends, so keep this in mind.
- Kiss on the Hand. On of the most chivalrous kisses, when a man takes a lady’s hand and lightly kisses it, he is clearing saying: I adore you.
- The Neck Kiss. The kiss on the neck clearly lets you know that the kisser wants you.
- The Forehead Kiss. This can convey several different meanings. Often our parents gave us forehead kisses and, thus, when you receive one, it is conveying a protective parental vibe. It is comforting and lets you know that you are respected and held dear to the kisser’s heart.
- The Eyelid Kiss. When the object of your affection closes their eyes, gently kiss their eyelid. This is a very sweet kiss conveying intimate closeness.
- The Butterfly Kiss. This kiss is playful and intimate. It involves getting close to your partner and fluttering your eyes so that your eyelashes lightly bat against his/her cheek, eyelids, or where ever you choose. It charmingly mimics the fluttering in your heart.
- Kiss on the Nose. This sends the message the recipient saying: Let’s get silly!
- The Shoulder Kiss. Come from behind or from the front, embrace him/her and place a kiss on the top of their shoulder. This conveys a very loving, sensual message. It clearly says: I want you!
- The French Kiss. This kiss has often been called the “Soul Kiss” because it is believed that the one’s breath (life and soul) are passed through the tongue to each kisser. Interestingly, this kiss is called “The English Kiss” by the French!
- The Kiss on the Lips. This is the: I love you kiss or the: I want you kiss.
- The Hickey Kiss. This kiss leaves a small mark that is a reminder of the kissing contact. It is often a prelude or part of a more intimate experience.
- The Lick Kiss. As a prelude to a kiss, gently run your tongue over your partner’s lip. This shows gives them a very sensual message.
- The Lip Sucking Kiss. While kissing, gently suck your sweetheart’s lip. This sends an exciting, adventurous message.
- The Nip Kiss. To ignite a hot and steamy message, gently nibble on your partner’s lips.
- The Reverse Lips Kiss. This kiss is performed by standing above your sweetheart and kissing them over their head. Have fun and nibble on each other’s lips. You’ll create a playful, sensual, and intimate kiss.
