18. Get a dozen of her favorite flowers, construction paper, and little chocolates. Cut out 12 construction paper hearts and write a reason why you love her around the outside of each. Punch two holes in each heart and thread the stem of the flowers through them. Put the flowers in a vase and put them on her dresser. Make a heart around the vase with the chocolates.

19. Ask her about her dreams. Maybe she wants to publish a book, or swim with dolphins, or be famous. Write these down so you don’t forget them, but wait so long that she thinks you have. When she’s not expecting it, make her dreams come true.

20. Pick up some felt, clear flat marbles, and a small wooden box. Line the box with felt and paste a picture of yourselves on the inside of the lid. Cut out circles of paper the same size as the marbles and write on each one something you want to do together. Paste these to the bottom of the marbles, then fill the box with marbles. 24. If you’re going to be apart on a holiday, even a minor one like Pi Day or Groundhog Day, arrange with a friend near her to give her a gift on that day. Inlude one piece of her favorite chocolate for every day until you’ll be together again.

25. Go to a pet shop and buy a goldfish. Tape a paper heart to the bowl. Write “There are other fish in the sea, but you’re the only one for me.” on it.

26. Pick up several cards and flowers and give them to people who will see her throughout the day., such as her boss, a classmate, or a roommate. Instruct them to give them to her when they see her. At the end of the day, meet her in a prearranged spot holding a sign that says I love you.

27. Rent a row boat. Pack a picnic basket and a candle and have them sitting in the boat when you get there. Blindfold her before leaving your house, and don’t take it off until she’s sitting in the boat. Row out to the middle of the lake and have a candle lit mid-lake picnic.

28. Gather together several pictures of the two of you and have them printed on iron-on paper. Make a quilt out of the pictures.

29. Get your friends and family to put on a play of how the two of you met.
