A Look Inside the Mind of Man
by I recently inquired with some women about what were some of the things that concerned them about the thoughts of the men in their lives. Interestingly, many came up with some of the same questions.
I’m a strong-willed woman, but it seems that I draw men who can’t handle my aggressiveness. What’s the problem?
It takes a special man to handle a strong woman. If a man doesn’t know who he is, or doesn’t have confidence in his manhood, then he will look at his woman as his competitor. You have to understand that men are competitive, and losing is not an option. If a man feels threatened by your aggressiveness, then he will try to tear you down because he really doesn’t feel good about himself. That’s why it’s key to find a man who knows who he is, then there won’t be a struggle within the relationship. I have found that a man could never truly know who he is unless he has a relationship with God. If he doesn’t know and love God, then he could never truly know how to build and love you. If a man is insecure within himself, he could never be an effective covering or support for the woman in his life.
On the flip side, don’t use your strong will to manipulate the man. Too many times women have used their strong nature to gain an edge in the relationship. Men are ego driven, and if he feels that you are a threat to his ego, he looks at that as disrespect. That’s why it’s key to have great communication. A weak man constantly needs to be reassured that he’s the man.
If a weak man is all that you attract, then you have to start looking within yourself to see what is it about me that keeps drawing the attention of these types of men. What is in me that I keep choosing this type of man. One thing that women have to understand is that you hold the key. You set the standard for what you want in any relationship. A man can only be and do whatever you allow or tolerate. If a man truly wants to be with you, he’ll meet the challenge to meet those standards.
