We are not “just” friends, thank you very much! We are friends! I want to cry every time someone asks. What is it about male-female relations that always leave people asking? And then that inevitable creeping comes upon you, is it something more? No you dope, it is just society telling you that there is supposed to be more. They want sex, they want intrigue, and they want drama, stories, heartbreak. It is exhausting.

This woman just wants to enjoy some male company. I do not want to get naked with you and I do not want a house with a dog and 2.5 kids. Let’s go out for tea and laugh and explore each other, but not below the belt. ‘Just’ friends sounds so meaningless, but yet I feel that each of my female friendships hold deep meaning. Why can my male friendships not be viewed the same? I want people to see platonic inter-gender relationships for the worth that they really hold. In a society that is always craving for more sometimes it is nice to just be happy with what you have. I have a man that I love to be with, but not with with, and I hope that you can find yours.
