A Night Out, or In
Here are some fun date ideas for those of you out there trying to surprise that special someone.
Recently it has come to my attention that the dating scene norm has come under a horredous lack of creativity. Haven’t we grown tired of the movie theatre scene? We are on the look for something a little more creative and daring in our date lives. Here are some ideas that you may want to try out…you may find that your creativity will spark the interest of someone that you admire.
Make Art not War
Here’s a fun an inexpensive date that will work best outdoors…unless you have your own art gallery. What you need is some paint(buckets, bottles, tubes, whatever kind), old clothes, a couple of large canvases, and a friend! We are going to help break you out of that shell and let your abstract side shine through. For those that have knowledge in the art world this is a date inspired by Jackson Pollock. After you have your supplies and get set up the fun is about to begin! Take some paint and began flinging, splattering, hand painting, roll around in it and jump on the canvas if the need strikes you! THIS IS ABSTRACT ART! THERE ARE NO RULES! This will be a lot of fun for you and your date, it gives you the opportunity to get a little messy with each other and just have a great time! I myself have tried this and it’s a ton of fun. I actually filled balloons with paint and threw darts at them!
Travel to a Foreign Country
Just Kidding, but you can bring the country to you. This will be a themed date. How you do it, is that you or your date can pick a country and bring you creativity skills to life! Say you pick China, you can go rent a Chinese movie(James Bond would work because he goes to China in some!), order out some Chinese food, and decorate your place in pillows and dragons! If you like, go out and get yourself some Asian clothing! If you like this idea you could try to do it at least once a month or as often as your budget allows!
Bring the Theater to You
This is a simple classic idea that’s attainable without leaving the comfort of you home. You and your date choose a classic movie that both of you love, hang up a white sheet on the side of your house, get a projector, and let the evening unfold! This would work great for a group date!
Other Ideas that may be more adventerous:
- Hiking
- White Water Rafting
- Rafting(great for guys to teach girls how to hook a worm)
- Rock Climbing
- Camping
What I’m trying to get at here is that you need to stray away from the norm. Let your date get to see what your interests are, what you like to do. You may find that they’ll become more interested in you when you show them your true self.

This is true,a date can be more then a dinner and a movie.Interesting ideas though I would rather skip one with the paint. At my age, that sounds painfull. But I liked it and can appreciate its creativity.
