Weather you see your relationship as a safe port, or like a strong bond between you and your partner, your younger or older partner thinks the same. Everyone has certain expectations about relationships, and the worst thing is not being able to fulfill them. Having children and wanting to get married are just some of the issues you should not forget to discuss with your partner. And more things you manage to discuss the more chance you have for a good relationship. Just keep in mind that age difference makes these discussions important.
What do your friends think about this?
Friends are an important part of your life. They have been around for years. And they are the ones who you can count on when things are going bad. So, consult them. Ask them for an opinion. After all, you’ll be spending a lot of time with them even after you get into a relationship. So, will age difference in your new relationship influence your friendship? This scenario is not impossible. What if your partner just can’t fit in? Be sure you think about this before you decide to engage yourself in a relationship with a big age difference.
Will it affect your plans?
Some people are easily adjustable. But not all! When you make plans, you have your age in mind. So, you usually want to finish college by the time you are 25, to visit France by the time you are 28 etc. But once in a relationship with a big age difference, you might have to change your plans. Will it bother you? Think twice about this, it can bring you only good.
