Anniversaries

Anniversaries mean nothing when both forget the little things in life.  For the little things, are the key to many lasting memories;  Precious memories that when cherished by two hold two together forever.

So how well do you remember the little things?  Do you remember only what was done on an annual date, or do you cherish and remember more what was done in between?

Do you still say and tell each other I love you, or did the phrase slip away.  Do you Romantically hold hands in public, or are you shy?  Do you still send your girl flowers, like on your first date, or do you simply let a single rose wither away?  Do you still write love letters, or do you wait until you have arthritis and can no longer pen a sentiment?  Do you get her chocolates or do you wait till it is no longer good for you both to eat?  Do you share a romantic evening under the candle light or do the candles look good collecting dust?  Do you both share some romantic Champagne with strawberries or do you simply let a good thing age without a sip.  Do you take your sweetheart on the dance floor for a spin or do you wait till you can’t walk.  Remember a good partner will dance for years to come, even when feet say no, the heart will beg it to go.  Do you share a picnic in the park or is it just a place where only the ants march?  Do you tickle her ears in a serenade, or do you leave the singing to the birds.  Does your girl see you a little jealous when other guys check her out, or does she find you not caring?

Do you drive your man crazy when you fill the air with your presence of cotton breeze?  And do you like wise drive your woman crazy with the aftershave or cologne,  that is when a hug should last for a while.  When anyone has cause for complaint do you settle it before the sunsets.  Just remember she is always right, and just remember so is he, your dispute should cancel out.

Yes the little things do mean a lot, and they just take a little time and creativity to make lasting impressions and memories that will brand in the heart of two for years to come;  As both of you look back someday at the precious years, while rocking on a porch with fresh brewed coffee being someday Seniors still in love enjoying their 50th.
