Bouncing Back! Time to Tell The World That You’re Fine
It’s time to take the high road and tell the world that you’re fine! Here’s what you can do to get over the dreaded breakup.
STEP 3: STAY AWAY!
It’s rather noble of you to want to stay friends after the initial breakup but take it from us; stay away from your ex. cutting off contact completely gives you a clean break and dispels any ulterior motives of wanting to get back together. So don’t call, don’t instant message, don’t text, don’t meet up and most importantly, don’t sleep with him! A breakup needs finality so make it clear by creating some space between you. If you’d lived together, it’s even more important to get away so why not take this as an opportunity to go on a short trip or even to treat yourself to a spa retreat for a couple of days. You need some time to recover from the shock of the separation. Contrary to the saying, distance does not make the heart grow fonder. You’ll find it so much easier to let go if you don’t see or hear from the other person.
STEP 4: GO EASY ON THE GOODIES
We all know the feeling of wanting to reach for the biggest tub of ice-cream or filling up on the chips while stationing yourself in front of the TV and hoping that you never have to move from your couch potato position again. However much you think you owe yourself a treat for soothing the wounds of a split, there are other ways of treating yourself that will make you feel good inside and out. Instead of blowing your cash on an all-out shopping spree, why not use the cash and go for a massage instead? Or take on a new experience like joining a class or attending a talk. Comfort binge, be it on food or fashion is only a temporary high. Instead, try something that will make you happier in the long run. Besides, if you stay in shape or develop a new skill, it is sweet revenge on the ex when you come out looking a million bucks post-breakup.

STEP 5: GIRL TALK
Our friends are there for a reason. It’s time to reconnect with your best girls and share some of the pain. If you’re incredibly close to your Mom or family members, it’s time to go home and indulge in the comfort of being surrounded by people who care. Friends and family are a great source of advice and help. There are no better people in the world to commiserate in your pain or frustration. Sharing your experience with those closest to you and in turn listening to their experiences will make you see that you are not alone in the world. There’s nothing better than having a good old moan over plenty of cocktails! It’s easier to get back to yourself when you surround yourself with people who remind you of just how worthy you are.
STEP 6: BACK IN THE SADDLE
Don’t harp on the past and channel your thoughts to positive things. Now that you’re single, the world is full of possibilities for you to meet someone new and different. Who knows? You may even meet someone better than your ex. Don’t feel resentful or scared of being single, instead relish it and see it as an opportunity to try something new. When you give off a positive vibe you will naturally draw people to you. Give love a chance again. Going out with someone new will help with changing your old bad habits and perhaps help you forget the pain and heartache of past experience.

as you say here, its not easy breaking up with somebody as over the years you have gained each others trust, then to betray them by leaving them for whatever the reason, is hard to do, thanks for sharing.
