Breaking and Partying
Lovers would resort to all kind of self damaging acts when they break up. But the modern generations react in different ways. What do the doctors feel about their post-love action.
The practical psychologists do not quite approve of the boxing technology at all. “Swishing on to the dance floor works wonders, “ one of them has propounded. Not that the victim would enjoy dancing at this point of time but the sight of dozens of wonderful and happy-go-lucky smiling couples with gay abandon would pep up her own spirit. She may even develop a sudden feeling that “After all life is still worth living.” And then head for the dining hall for a heavy meal.
A common mistake that a ‘dumpee’ may make is, “If I spend some half an hour with the ‘dumper’, things may look up..” “Never,” a lady psychologist says. “Such stuff takes place only in movies and not in real life. When the months long lovey dovey period is over, the best thing to do is to keep your self respect intact and move on.
A particular lady psychologist further points out, that these days the college students are more in love with “being in love” than actually in love. They get into relationship knowing all along that it has a limited shelf life. For many, it’s fashionable to be committed and yet not committed in the technical sense. They must remember that there is a possibility that the other person may become so immersed in it that a break up may completely shatter his/her soul and mind. To mend a broken heart isn’t all that easy. Therefore one must be prepared always for an amicable break up and then go partying.
The trouble is that an Indian maiden doesn’t believe in a kind of platonic relationship. From the very second day of friendship, she might start dreaming about marriage. For her, friendship with a male means only one thing and there is only one goal post. Having a good time and dumping one day, is not on her cards at all.
Alternatively the youngsters may take to the western model of a Boy having 4 or 5 girl friends and a Girl with 4 or 5 boyfriends. Such associations won’t lead to the marriage altar and one could break it with any of them any time at will.
But unfortunately, God has not designed an Indian that way at all. Isn’t it a pity in modern times !
