Breakups are never easy whether it is breaking up with someone whom you are involved with or been dumped by someone whom you love dearly. When a relationship breaks up, there is a good chance that you may feel very much at a loss, despair and confusion. According to Feng Shui if you are someone who need to recover from a break up then the first thing you need to do is removing the old relationship energy from your life because if you want to attract a new romantic partner you need to give up the old and make sure to make space for the new person in your life. The emotional or physical clutter of the old relationship Clutter hinders the ability to move forward in your life. In Feng Shui it is said that “nothing new can come into your life until you make room for it.” That means you need to start clearing out the old stuff you are holding on to in order to make room for new things to flow into your life. Get rid of everything you have of your ex’s if you wish to move on with your life. Many times these things can make you feel miserable and wanting to beg and plead your ex to take you back. Remember that you cannot stop living because someone is not available in your life. You need to move on. In fact if you look at the situation in a positive manner you would see that a breakup indicates a new beginning.

When you want to move on after been dumped or after breaking up with your ex try to make a clean break off. Holding on to your Ex or memories of the relationship would only hold you back from the road of recovery. There are many people who compulsively keep on checking their ex’s MySpace, Facebook or any other social networking profiles to know what is happening in his or her life which is a wrong thing to do. Even if things ended on a clean slate many times it can be too painful to see what the other person is up to. It would be better to take your Ex off your ‘Friends’ list at least for a while till you have really got him or her out of your system. Also delete their mobile or phone number from your mobile phone. Do not forget to delete all their text messages you have stored in your Mobile. If possible you can also bar their number from the phone too. The same applies for email accounts and love letters or cards. One major mistake many do is sitting and staring at the old photographs, letters and mementos which reminds you of the broken relationship. There may be some things of value you’ll want to give back to your Ex which you can send it to them. Throw away or burn every other thing related to or reminds you off your ex. Apart from that if you have been sleeping with your ex then make sure you throw away the bedding and bed sheets you shared because it carries the old relationship energy too. If your ex left some stuff at your place you should pack it and send it too.

Organizing your personal space by clearing the clutter after a break up will help you to feel better and recover from the hurt easily. Also removing all the emotional junk you’ve been carrying around with you helps you to go out into the world fresh and be prepared for the new things to come. After all, Not everybody wants their Ex back.

Beautiful blog. You have very correctly pointed out that cleaning up the clutter only means throw out his/her belongings from your place. Cutting clean from all contacts, memories etal is very necessary to move along with life happily. Sort of cut the rope.

You are a writer extra ordinaire.
