Dating and The Disabled
My views on dating.
When you’re dating and you are disabled, I think that the most important thing you should try to re-frame from, is telling the person you’re dating too many negatives about your condition all at once. You should always be honest about your condition, but try not to give your whole medical history on the first date.
Some people are going to be upset when they read this next part; I have CP, but I will not date other disabled people. I don’t want to deal with my disability and theirs, it’s too much. I may sound like a hypocrite to you, but that’s how I feel.

My father was disabled by a drunk driver when he was a toddler, my X-wife was disabled by a drunk driver the last year I was in the Army and a drunk driver tried to disable me 3 yrs ago. I’ve never thought of disabled people as being a problem to date.
Actually the advice you give here could go along with many subjects. Like I wouldn’t tell a date about some of the insane members of my family until I knew her better.
