Dating for Free or Not at All

Do you think it is wrong to postpone dating, due to the bleak financial situation some of us are experiencing? Yes there are free dating web sites, but the men on there look old and haggard. i have searched many free sites just browsing and reading profiles. I believe that many men have altered their ages by about 15 years. I am currently 57 and I do not look as old as they do.

I am sure that men are feeling the financial pinch, so how can they expect to spend money on a date, when they have to pay their bills?  Wouldn’t it be embarrassing to fill out a profile and list unemployed as your occupation? How about I can only meet you halfway because I do not have enough gasoline. Perhaps I could fit you in my busy schedule in between my job hunting. 

Would a man or a woman really enjoy a date, still feeling lost because they have no direction? Maybe in todays new society it really does not matter.  In the olden days the mail order brides did well. They would write letters and take a stage coach with a few bags and go meet their new man. They would live and work next to their husband in the fields. Actually that does not sound too bad.

I saw an ad on Craigs list the other day that shocked me. Some guy posted himself naked. One photo was of his upper half, and the second of his lower half. Is that how a man would ask for a date ? There is something wrong with the thinking of today’s society.

Perhaps I will try and force myself and pretend to be happy. I will not answer any questions so I do not have to hide any truths. Maybe no one really cares, but me.
