Dating on Craigslist
Introduction to using Craigslist to find date.
A point of safety is to follow your instincts during this whole process. If you feel or sense, the person is a nut or something just doesn’t seem right….trust your gut. And, whatever you do, do not in your first couple of exchanges….give out personal information such as what your address is, or you job location. A phone number is okay but be cautious. You don’t want to end up being pestered if he or she is not right for you. However, I have found that for the most part, people are respective of others on Craigslist although of course, there are always exceptions. So, again, just trust your gut.
Speaking on safety, the most important aspect, is choosing where to meet your date. You need to pick a public place. It is important that there are other people around again for safety. Irregardless, whether the person sounds nice on the computer or on the phone, you must be cautious. The bottom line is that you do not know anything about this person. So it is always better to err on the side of prudence. And, have your own transportation coming and going. I like to pick a coffee shop close to where I live. When the date is over, I just amble home. And I haven’t invested a lot time and energy. No bad feelings are there for me, even if the person wasn’t my dream date. The upshot is that I just met a new person from planet earth. And, that is certainly worth a cup of coffee.
So to sum up; my advice is have fun and be cautious. Who knows you may find the perfect relationship. And, you may not. However, it is a way to get out and meet new people. And, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Good luck.
