In Genesis the bible says “It is not good that man should not be alone”. Singleness is a obstacle for many people today. There are many facilities to help you such as dating agencies, internet and mobile phone dating yet you are still single.

Here are 4 suggestions that may help you if you are single today :

1. Know Who you are: Firstly knowing yourself inside out in every area of your life such as identifying your past failures, successes, any emotional problems you may have are things you need to know when you enter into a relationship. Try and be up-to-date on what the latest cars are, music, football etc its conversational talking.
2. Know Who your friends are: It is important to have like minded supportive friends around you, quality people to go out have fun, be serious, go on holiday with. If you don’t have many start looking for some! This is a key I believe that when each party is looking for a date, you should look at who his or her company are before dating because the chances are they are like them. It helps if you like them and vice versa!.
3. Know Who you are looking for: Be specific in who you are looking for, realising there is no perfect Mr or Mrs right. Are your standards too high or are you going for the wrong type of person too much. Do you know yourself?
4. Know Where to look?  Are you looking in the right places, if its not working think where can I meet lots of single people, try different tactics may just be the key. What do you have to loose? Pride or reputation?

If you need a partner we should give all our variables to God, issues like lack of confidence and pray sincerely for a change in situation, he may need to work on you first but I believe there is someone out there for you, keep persevering, positive and telling yourself you will find someone and it will happen. Lord Jesus, I pray for all single people in church today that YOU would unite people in their circumstances so that in YOU there maybe a bond to draw people together and on an earthly level a natural relationship may arise.  I pray that this will happen in your divine timing. Amen.
