Dating Without Spending Too Much
Suggestions on how to date inexpensively using your imagination and style.
Two people agreeing to meet for the first time usually goes for a cup of coffee or tea in a coffee shop. This is the standard procedure for dating nowadays. If both parties do have chemistry, subsequent dating follows through. If you know that your partner (mostly men) have a good deal of money to spend, expensive places will take place like dining in a five-star restaurant, having the best seat in a theatre, occupying a corporate box in sporting events or attending a party with A-list guests.
But what about if the man you like is broke? The getting-to-know-each-other could be more fun if you use your imagination in an inexpensive dating. You might share the expenses and do the following suggestions:
- Attend free concerts, art shows, festivals, parades, community or church events.
- Buy ingredients from the shop and cook dinner at home.
- Bicycle riding either rent or borrowed to the countryside.
- Bushwalking, hiking, exploring the forest or mountain climbing.
- Borrow a DVD and watch at home. Offer him snacks or desserts.
- Drive out to an airport near you and watch the planes coming and going.
- Drive to the countryside and enjoy the scenery.
- Ethnic cuisine in restaurant is offered usually at bargain prices.
- Enjoy the fairs, flea markets or garage sales.
- Go to discount stores and see who’s buying what.
- Go to drive-in movies and bring your own food.
- Go to the beach and frolic with the sand.
- Go to parties either invited or gate crashing – food is free.
- Go to a bistro that offers free hors d’oeuvres – you just got a free dinner.
- Go to a winery tour and take advantage of free wine tasting.
- Go to a theatre or an opera and get the cheapest seat.
- Invite him for dinner at your place so he won’t spend anything.
- Lie down under the sun, or the moon and the stars. It’s great do nothing at all.
- Make love, it’s free.
- Pretend you have a thousand dollars to spend and do window-shopping.
- Visit a zoo. Lunch is cheaper at the cafeteria.
- Visit a museum and dine at the museum restaurants if they are inexpensive.
- Watch your favourite sports at home with homemade popcorn.
- Watch tennis at the big screen outside the venue.
There are so many things you can do without spending too much. If you have style, life would be more fun and more rewarding.
