For Men: Present Yourself as a Good Mate
Want to hear from a woman’s viewpoint how to better your potential as a mate? Or, looking to promote yourself as a potential mate?
Don’t leave a special someone (or any person, as common courtesy should dictate) in a cloud of dust, as you spin out. If you are seeing someone to her car, please do not pull off before you know that she is safely on her way.
If you are preparing a big feast of crab legs, be kind enough to help your lady with the cracking. Don’t wait until her knuckles are bleeding and say, “I will be glad to help you out when I finish mine.”
Make sure you offer to help carry in the groceries. If you hear the car pulling in, be on ready. And, if the bounty includes a twenty-pound bag of dog food, make sure you help it reach its final destination.
Be a good tipper. And, this comes from someone who has never worked as a server. Done in a non-flaunting manner, generously showing your appreciation says a lot.
If you are heading home from work and are privy to the knowledge that there is a sick person at home with a fever, call to ask what you might bring her in the form of nourishment. And, as with the heavy bag of dog food, make sure you get it to the desired endpoint by cooking and serving.
Notice you do not see “send flowers or chocolates” mentioned above. While nice gestures surely to be appreciated, I believe the above-stated will go farther in the long run in making that someone worthy of your affections feel of value.
