Four Things Men Should Know About Women 1
Things I feel men need to know about women.
This list is not in any specific order as they are equally as important. To some men this list is going to be an insult to others it is going to be enlightening and here we go:
-
PMS is Not a Joke
PMS or Premenstral Syndrome is defined as a combined physical and mood disturbance that occurs usually a week prior to a women’s menstral flow caused by ovulation (the release of a ripe egg from the ovary occuring 14 or 15 days from the first day of the last period). It effects most women on some level and has nothing to do with the kind of personality she possess. The onset of ovulation can be brutal for many and most will experience some discomfort. Symptoms are as severe as chest pains, debilitating migraines and vomiting, to symptoms as slight as cramping and acne breakouts. Whatever a women experiences the facts are evident that PMS is real and men should be more understanding, knowledgeable and proactive.

Size Does Matter
I am not talking about the obvious; although I will say if you are not packing please don’t give the impression that you are. Please be honest. What I am talking about are the little things women love. We love hand holding, receiving flowers whenever and public affection. We don’t mind if you opens doors for us or order our meals and putting the toilet seat down is just a sign of consideration. It was not made to REMAIN up. Guys, I am telling you just these few things done consistently will keep your woman feeling appreciated and nag free.
-
We Need You
Now, I know there are some readers saying, “She has lost her mind, we don’t need them.” Well, I am here to say yes we do. If there is a man around we shouldn’t have to mow the lawn, rake the leaves or shovel the snow. We should not have to take out the garbage, play Tim the Tool Man or mechanic, if there is a man present. Now, I know all the single moms (myself included) have to do what we have to do, but even after the love is gone we could still use your help men. If we have brothers they need to check up on us and assist us. If there are fathers around just know that without your emotional support we are lost and will continue to have issues with men and relationships.
-
We Are Actual Humans
Okay, I am not trying to insult anyone’s intelligence, but as another Triond writer (clsfd kidd) puts it, “Women are not made of steel, stone or plastic.” We actually have feelings that can be hurt because we are emotional by nature. We have minds that think on levels as high as most men. We have hearts that require fragile handling; even the hardest and coldest hearts. Those are the most fragile. Listening and empathy goes a long way. Sometimes a response is not necessary.
Sometimes it does seem as though we reside on different planets and sometimes we really do; but, communication is one of the keys to good a relationship. Leave it up to Lena Brown and it will be talked about. See you for Part II.

I totally agree with all you’ve said here, especially the bit under ‘we need you’.
