Friends Forever

You came as the sun, and brightened my day,

All moments with you, so wonderful and fey.

When I cried, you wiped my tears,

Without a word , you knew my fears.

When I was down, you made me laugh,

Your words of wisdom – “Just be tough”.

When little things went wrong in life,

You stood by me, and I felt alive.

You were the one to soothe my pain,

And shielded me from hurt and rain.

Dispelled the clouds and made me smile

You were the one to stay awhile-

You shared my sorrow and happiness, alike,

You made me feel so special and bright.

“No sorry, No thank you”, you always say

These  words not friends but strangers make.

The only words that come to mind today

I’ll miss you so –may you always be safe.
