Friendship: A Screening Process
Insight on the desire to seek out friendship or companionship.
One of our most natural traits that we have as a species is the one that makes us want to seek out friendship or companionship. To put it simply, we just do not want to be alone. The desire to want friendship or companionship is so strong, that it can consume our everyday lives. Especially if we are alone. These days, it seems that there are qualifications for friendship. It’s kind of like we are pre-screened or we are doing the screening. True friendship should be cherished. At the same time, we must be very careful about who we are about to become friends with. True friendship does not happen over night and we are usually good judges of character. These days, with the technology out there and the way identities are being stolen, someone with different intentions may want friendship for the sole purpose of stealing your car, your cash, your jewelry or your identity for that matter. By the way, if anyone wants to steal my identity, good luck. I hope that they will pay off all of my debt in the process. What it boils down to is that there are a lot of good people out there who fall prey to this kind of theft and they usually do not even see it coming. Choose your friendships wisely. If it seems like you are being kind of mean about it, then that is an opinion that others are entitled to. Remember that this is your well being. If there are any reprocussions, they will be felt by you. The human species is capable of putting on many different masks. When we want something, we usually go out and get it. Friendship is no different. Just be careful who you choose to let into your life because they could very easily ruin it.
